Must be a big deal to post a need like a babysitter on a blog- we think so- that is when BABY THOMPSON #2 is due to arrive! Yep- surprise!!! We are expecting a Fall Baby! We are on cloud 9 and eager to see Jonah as a big brother. We had our first sonogram and the "pumpkin seed" was already in place with a strong heartbeat. There is only one- Rick verified two times to make sure! Since we've been down this road only once, we did learn from our first time, so let's hit it:Q- Will we find out the sex?
A- NO- we didn't the first time and it was fine- actually I think it bothers others more than us
Q- Were you "trying"?
A- Not sure why people ask this as if the answer will determine if they are happy for us or not- so our answer is - we learned a long time ago not to interfere or question God's plan
Q- Do you want a boy or a girl?
A- healthy is our request. Based on the relationship I have with my mom, the one my mom had with her mom, I would love to have a daughter to pass down that tradition. That being said- based on the relationship I have with my sister and how close we are, I'm sure is related to that we are both the same sex and I would love for Jonah to have that with a brother. And plus seeing Rick and his brother makes true too.
Q- How are you feeling?
A- hungry and tired- good things!
Q- Do you have names already?
A- Thanks for thinking we're that prepared - we didn't even have final names when Jonah was born. We just wait til the Birth Day arrives and take it from there.
Q- Will I deliver natural or c-section?
A- since Jonah ended up being delivered 12 hours after labor via c-section, this one will bypass the 12 hours and head straight to c-section
Q- Will this be your last one?
A- who knows!
We are overjoyed and so excited in this new journey. I am starting my 9th week and many more to go. I am already marking my spot in our pool - I figure being 6 months pregnant in the Texas summer is the best place to be morning, noon and night! This year marks our 10 year anniversary (10.21) and I told Rick I wanted to do something very special this year- he delivered - celebrating 10 years with the person you love while expanding our family!
