We have been talking to Jonah about Baby for some time. He always says "sister, no brother"- so if it's a boy, HE will be a "sister" for the time being. Now whether he truly understands it or not, who knows. But we have been reading books to him about being big brother, having him talk and ready to baby, kissing Baby and helping get Baby room together. So now the next step is getting Jonah ready to hold, care for, etc. So we got a baby doll and have been practicing holding - key being holding NOT throwing, chunking, or slamming the baby on the floor. It is truly a work in progress. Cousins Kirsten and Mason are also helping teach Jonah how to feed baby, give baby pacifier and changing diapers- again all a work in progress. With one month to go......we're off to a good start- Jonah does want to hold the baby, asks about the baby, and only throws it on the floor a few times a day. : )
