Growing like a weed- in more ways than one!

Jonah is turning himself from side to side. He is laughing all the time. He smiles and laughs while his music is playing and is sleeping from 8:30 PM to 6:45 AM. After a week of "training"- we are all sleeping through the night- no 5 AM cries or anything. A shout out to Aunt Justine for telling me about the water bottle, to Suzanne and Karin for lending me those great books to use as a guide. Now it was hard those first night listening to him cry and not going in there and wanting to cry myself, but after a few nights, Jonah got it. I'm still amazed how babies "get it"- but they do.

Jonah is adjusting to Mrs. Caroline. Mom drops him off in the AM and Dad picks him up. He's all smiles when we drop off and pick up- this helps Mom and Dad get through the day- really Mom. After the first week, I've learned to treasure those evening times with Jonah. We play with our toys, sit in the bumbo (he loves this), do the jumper, tummy time and of course Music. Basically, we trying to keep him from taking an evening nap and keep him busy / tired so he'll sleep well......and it's been working.

Have our 4 month check up in 2 weeks-- we're guessing he's like 16 pounds by now and grew another 2 inches- we'll see. Eyes are still not determined yet. He's moving himself side to side (still trying to catch that on camera), so no more Swaddle. We're now using a Snuggle- same concept as Swaddle, but his arms are out, so he can catch himself when he rolls side to side. He loves to "stand up" with help of course, but he is constantly pushing himself for you to lift his arms so he can stand. There is lots of "talking" (trying to get that on camera too).

Look at my long legs-- thanks Dad for these!

"What is this duck used for anyways?"

"Hey, how did that duck get out there?"

"This isn't my normal bath."

"Araghhh, I'm a pirate!"

"Just kidding- I'm really an alien." Thanks Grawe Family for my new bath towel.

Cousin Mason helping give a bath to Jonah.

"Please don't talk to me, I need to focus."

More tummy time!
